I am officially halfway done the Advertising and Marketing Communication
Management Program at Sheridan College and I’m proud to say that I have yet to
pull an all nighter, though I have come close (FYI cupcakes are great energy
boosters).
Once again I have been given
the task to create a blog, but this time I actually need to get more than one
follower, so Mom (my only follower) could you please send this to your friends
and even that one weird aunt who smells like donuts, Thanks! Anyways according to the assignment I am to create
content for, monitor and evaluate a blog’s web traffic and success based on a
number of key measures. Unlike my
previous task I feel slightly more prepared and qualified to do this.
I’m going to continue with evaluating advertisements and
cross my fingers that I don’t unintentionally insult or ruin a possible
relationship with future employers (I swear I’m a good employee and will bring
baked goods (gluten free or vegan upon request) in on a regular basis)! As well
as evaluating ads I will talk about trends going on in the industry as well as
advertisement fails. Just a reminder as
I evaluate each ad I will answer the following the questions:
- Is it effective? Why or why not?
- Does it stimulate a positive response?
- Does the target market view the offer favourably? Why?
So once again I ask that you follow me
on this journey through the good (the cupcake I’m eating right now, I really am
eating one, its vanilla and has sprinkles), the bad (my humour), and the ugly (my
grammar) of all things advertising!
Agree, disagree or have something to add? Leave a comment I
would love to hear from you!
